Melissa
Melissa is the CEO of London Dance Academy, a physical performer, dance and yoga teacher. With over 2 decades of experience in yoga, anatomy and a broad variety of dance and fitness-based disciplines, she first opened the doors to her dance academy in 2005. Melissa’s career as a teacher and physical performer has taken her all over the world, which has helped shape her principle method for writing new concepts. Her method is to explore, experience, immerse and learn, then deliver a bespoke lesson plan.
Being able to identify people as individuals within a group is a skill she strives to continue improving. Blending positive mind association, breath work, partner stretching and passive and active techniques, her classes are suitable for all levels.

Her main philosophy is “through movement our bodies and minds can become more supple. Flexibility makes it easier to sense patterns and affect positive evolution. Movement is the key to unlocking the balance between all aspects of our lives.”
Under Melissa’s care, London Dance Academy has always prided itself on being a place where everyone is welcome, no matter their background. All we ask is that we leave our egos, judgement and shoes at the door (unless it’s your studio heels)!
