Uncover your upside down potential!
We’ll start our practice by warming up and strengthening our bodies so we can connect to the shapes needed when we’re flying.
You’ll learn the basics of inversions on the floor and have lots of fun when we move it off the ground to hand and shoulder stands on our partners. You’ll then play with unusual balances on different body parts and gradually increase the level of challenge.
Variations will be offered to cater for different levels of ability.
Come with or without a partner.
No previous AcroYoga experience necessary
Pre-requisite experience: 10 second handstand against the wall
Cost: £35 per 3hr workshop (early bird pricing until 3 April) / £45 regular price
Erica Montes RYT500 first worked with the body though performance art, acrobatics and theatre. She first encountered Yoga and meditation as a teenager and, after years working as an actor, found a common ground between her intensely disciplined theatre work and Eastern practices that promote mindfulness through physical motion.
This sparked a lifelong interest in exploring conscious movement and the connection of mind, body and spirit. Her classes possess an elegant beauty and fluidity. They are the ideal vehicle to express the themes of harmony, balance, spirituality, joy and bliss. Erica completed her 500 hour Yoga certification with Edward Clark’s Tripsichore Yoga and is a certified level 2 AcroYoga teacher. She is also a Thai massage therapist and integrates the knowledge of this ancient healing tradition in her teaching.
If you are running late for a class, please do call reception to let us know. Please be aware that if you are more than 10 minutes late, you may not be able to join, as it may be after the warm up. Also, please note we require a minimum of 48 hours notice for cancellations.
