Welcome to BL Pole Fitness! We are a brand new society set up to give you the opportunity to experience the latest fitness craze- pole dancing. Want an amazing workout that’s fierce, but fun? Sexy, but strong? Or maybe you just want to get your core super stable in the most enjoyable way! This is the place for you.

Imperial College London Pole & Aerial Society aims to bring enjoyable and affordable weekly pole fitness and aerial classes to Imperial College. We collaborate with numerous venues and studios around London to bring hoop, silks, trapeze, pole, slings and anti-gravity yoga classes to you. We are also one of the most successful and competitive societies at Imperial College amidst all 360+ clubs. We hold numerous titles in inter-uni competitions and were the winners of the London Pole Varsity in 2014 and 2016. 

 

Every week we hold supervised pole practice and level classes taught by London Dance Academy instructors, strength & stretching classes are taught by the committee and finally aerial hoops, trapeze and silks taught at Aerialand and Coco Club.

 

Please see our class timetable for more details.  What’s special about pole is that it is quickly rewarding; you’ll see yourself progress quickly class by class, giving yourself that satisfaction that your time and effort has not been wasted.

 

You are also given the opportunity to perform at various events and even compete at national championships. Details will be given nearer the time on our mailing list. 

 

We would like to stress the importance that no previous dance or fitness is required. Whether you want to increase your fitness, improve your pole ability, make new friends or even just to try something new – we welcome everyone from all backgrounds to try our classes.

Kings College London Pole Fitness Society started classes at London Dance Academy in October 2015. Currently, our elementary/intermediate classes take place every Wednesday 4.30-6pm, advanced level on Tuesdays 4.30-6pm, and our beginners classes are held every Wed 3-4.30pm and Friday from 4.30-6pm.

 

We welcome all levels, both females and males alike. The amazing teachers, staff, studio facilities and location are the reasons we chose LAPD above all other pole studios across London.

 

We thoroughly enjoy taking our classes here, and encourage anyone who hasn’t tried pole before, or who hasn’t found their perfect studio, to come to London Dance Academy.

We run regular classes for all levels on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Commercial Union, as well as weekend practice classes. Membership in our society includes the weekly classes as well as extra sessions in other skills such as flexibility. It also includes discounted workshops with different amazing pole professionals!

 

We perform in competitions and hold our own showcases twice a year that everyone can participate in. We have regular socials as well as activities such as photoshoots and pole camp to London, hosted by London Dance Academy.

Pole Fitness is a sport that combines many different forms of exercise: dance, gymnastics, endurance and strength training, acrobatics.

 

Affiliated with the London Dance Academy, we provide some of the highest quality classes in the world with prices that students can afford! Weekly practice and taught classes are held in the Dance Studio at UCL and also at the LDA Studio in Old Street. 

 

At University College London Pole Fitness, we aim to provide a fun, challenging method of keeping fit. We welcome all participants; from beginners to advanced. Come join us, along with our fully qualified instructors, to get fit and gain some great friends!

 

Anyone who is a member of UCLU can join our society (including affiliate members from other universities), and all our class details are sent out on our mailchimp mailing list and via facebook at the start of every term!

University of the Arts London Pole Dance Society

Pole is a great non-competitive activity for improving strength and flexibility. Our classes are focused on creating routines which cater to everyone’s ability with several stages to suit your experience on the pole from beginners to intermediate. Every ability trains together but with personal goals creating a fun team atmosphere.

To make the most of the classes we are after pro-active members who are dedicated to the team and want to see it at its best! We are a social group and like to see our members taking part in activities across the sports, mixing with other teams and becoming part of the UAL sports community.

 

Classes are run by London Dance Academy teachers at the LDA Old St Studio on Sundays (Beginners 6-7.30pm, Intermediate 6.30-8pm) and at Saints Frances Xavier School, Clapham on Wednesdays (Beginners 6-7.30 and 7.30-9pm).
