Sometimes stretching can get competitive, we push and push ourselves to get deeper into our stretches despite our body’s resistance. This class is all about improving flexibility – from splits to back bends and everything in between – but in a way that’s less grrr and more ooo.
This class will allow you to work deep into your flexibility safely and restoratively. We’ll hold each stretch for 3 to 5 min. Deeply stretching not just muscles, but also reaching ligaments and joints.
Starting off with a yoga and Pilates inspired warm up, we will then work into flexibility exercises followed by longer hold stretches.
The longer hold stretches are focused on relaxing into positions so that we can begin to work into the fascia – the key to unlocking your flexibility.
We will then end with a dreamy relaxation so that you can appreciate the full effects of all your hard work.
If you are running late for a class, please do call reception to let us know. Please be aware that if you are more than 10 minutes late, you may not be able to join, as it may be after the warm up. Also, please note we require a minimum of 48 hours notice for cancellations.
